I have to admit...I hate being in pictures.  This is probably a strange thing to admit on the page about me on my pro photo business website.  But it's true.  Why do you think I picked up the camera in the first place?  Who am I?  I am a husband, a son, a new father.  I live and work in the greater Denver area and the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.  I have been a photographer for - well, since I first picked up a camera so many years ago - but began to dive deeper 4 years ago.  I always felt that I had creative eye, a way of framing images, looking at a subject in a different way, but lacked the understanding and tools to capture it the way I saw it.

I have been shooting professionally for 2 years and love every minute of it.  I have a strong background in music production, corporate audio visual, lighting and sound and use all of these to augment my natural eye and attention to detail.  I love to capture simple realistic images that capture a moment that is otherwise lost.  It brings me a significant amount of happiness to use these talents of photography, post production, graphic design to create lasting images that I hope people cherish for as long as they own them. 

So - why do I hate being in pictures?  Well, I don't ever think that I look the way I see myself when I look in the mirror.  That double chin, or the weird shadow - whatever it is, it doesn't feel like me.  Well, that feeling is what drives me to take outstanding photographs of others.  I have an ability to put my clients at ease, to talk to them in a manner that allows them to be themselves in front of the camera.  After all, why hire me when you can get 2893 prints at the local big box for $11.99?  Well, do you like that experience?  Did you have fun?  Did you feel that the photographer was emotionally invested in the success of your shoot?  Did you have pictures that you couldn't wait to show to your parents, your co-workers, your friends?  You may have, but I am guessing that you don't like the way you look in photos either or can't seem to get that shot of your 2 year old that captures their personality as only you see.  Whether it is a birthday party, high class portraits of the family, casual engagement shots, or your senior year...reach out to me today to learn what I can do for you.
